What is Street Smart Society?

Street Smart Society is a youth-led nonprofit organization with the main purpose of teaching business skills and financial literacy to less affluent communities.

All of us are no strangers to the idea of the poverty trap - when individuals of low income are unable to attain higher education, it becomes increasingly difficult for them to find stable employment. Street Smart Society aims to equip these individuals with skillsets that would enable them to independently search for sources of income through profitable businesses, as well as manage their personal finances. With our efforts, we hope to mitigate this persistent issue within our community.

VISIONS

Inspire the underprivileged youth to pursue independent livelihoods

Minimize the severity of income disparity in local communities

MISSIONS

Teach basic courses pertaining to business skills and relevant economic concepts
Provide lessons on basic financial literacy to children and teenagers from less affluent communities
Create interactive activities and projects in which students would be able to participate to enhance their understanding
Conduct fundraisers to give back to these communities
